The UN Digital Cooperation Portal is a global platform launched by UN ODET, UNCTAD, and UNIDO on 4th December 2025 to make digital cooperation more transparent, easier to track, and collaborative. The portal is dynamic: it provides a real-time view of ongoing efforts to implement the Global Digital Compact while offering organizations an easy way to make their work visible.
The portal is intended for the full spectrum of stakeholders, including (but not limited to): Governments, UN entities, civil society organizations, private sector companies, technical communities, academia and research institutions, and regional and international organizations.
All submissions are reviewed against basic eligibility and quality criteria to ensure alignment with UN values and the objectives of the Global Digital Compact. The portal displays initiatives that address one or more of the five objectives of the Global Digital Compact. These include development of ICT infrastructure and applications, capacity-building initiatives, advocacy, research and policy analysis, and other projects advancing the Global Digital Compact, WSIS agendas, and the Sustainable Development Goals. The portal currently features projects at a mature stage of development or implementation. Projects at the conceptual phase, concluded projects, or those without a clear digital component are not eligible.
Step 1: Visit www.undigitalcooperation.org. Step 2: Click on the “Contribute” button at the top of the page. Step 3: Fill in all required details about your organization and initiative (toggle the switch if youth-led). Step 4: Submit your initiative. It will be reviewed for eligibility and, once approved, published under your organizational profile where you can manage and update it.
The Portal features a wide range of initiatives aligned with the Global Digital Compact, including open-source solutions, digital public infrastructure and goods, connectivity and inclusion efforts, data governance, AI governance, digital capacity-building programmes, and human rights in digital contexts. The focus is on scalable, collaborative initiatives that contribute to safe, open, and inclusive digital ecosystems.
Contributions featured on the Portal can include research projects, digital platforms or tools, capacity-building initiatives, policy or regulatory development, advocacy campaigns, and other impactful outputs.
Submitted information is reviewed by the Portal team to ensure it is coherent, non-promotional, and aligned with UN principles. Organizations are responsible for keeping their initiative pages updated, and periodic checks may be conducted to request updates, clarify details, or archive inactive initiatives.
Inclusion on the Portal does not constitute a formal UN endorsement or certification. It indicates that the initiative is relevant to digital cooperation and meets basic eligibility and quality criteria. The content remains the responsibility of the submitting organization.
The Portal is a public good designed to strengthen transparency, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration. There is no fee to browse or feature eligible initiatives.
